We are proud to officially announce Battle of The Blockchains (BotB)™, a project of Relaychain.com. BotB will be one of the world’s first cross-chain NFT games where champions from each chain will battle for $$$$ prizes, bragging rights, and more! There will be 10,000 unique NFT Champions per Blockchain coming from some of the most popular and trusted DeFi protocols on-chain.
BotB is a scalable NFT gaming solution that utilizes the tech already developed by Relaychain to bring a unique win-win-win-win value proposition to the minter, partner, host chain, and Relaychain (check out the Treasury Backed NFT section below for more details). Over the next few weeks, we will be announcing our key partners one by one, hosting AMAs to talk about the project, and introducing all of the key value propositions of our mintenomics and game development roadmap. First Chain & NFT Specifics
Given our long history with the Avalanche blockchain, we chose them as the best place to host our inaugural mint!
Wherever we expand BotB, there will be four key partners. Each partner will have 2000 NFT Champions generated based on their mascot and will be reinforced by Relay’s own Relayer Champion to comprise a total of 10,000 NFT Champions. We have spent time designing in a unique way where we are able to spread the traits across 5 mascots in 1 mint. Meaning you have a 1 in 5 or 20% chance to mint anyone of the Champions.
By keeping this ratio the same, we can scale BotB to any number of chains while maintaining the quality of our NFT artwork. Each NFT Champion is hand-drawn by our talented artists and will have an assigned rarity & ranking that plays a role in the upcoming Battle of the Blockchains game.
Treasury Backed NFT
The first win-win-win-win value proposition for the minter, partner, host chain and Relaychain is through Treasury Backed NFTs. When the mint is complete, we will take a portion of the mint proceeds to purchase Relay and our key partner tokens giving real value to each NFT you hold in BotB. In doing this, we strengthen our partner’s valuation, increase host chain TVL, while strengthening the Relay treasury. We will go into more detail when we announce the Mintenomics in the coming weeks. Stay Tuned!
Why BotB?
The answer is simple, the community has been requesting NFTs to be a part of Relaychain for a long time, and the team was waiting for the right opportunity to present itself. We were willing to wait to create a unique NFT project that isn’t just another cash grab. By empowering our artists within the Relaychain community, we will build strong and trusting relationships with whichever chain we connect our bridge to.
All of the BotB NFTs will have a purpose in the upcoming game, and a higher rarity level will have an impact. While the BotB team has an incredible amount of experience in the gaming industry, we understand the nuance behind building an NFT game that is fun & sustainable. Because of that, we plan to use a portion of the mint to bring in a professional game development studio to assist in creating the first bridge based on-chain game.

About RelayChain
